Background
One Month at a Time is a narrative visual novel that brings awareness to the housing crisis in Ontario, Canada. Players will follow the journey of Victoria as she lives her day-to-day life working, socializing, and studying. All while balancing her savings, to have enough for rent by the end of the game. This game is filled with interesting events, interactable elements, and a riveting storyline for the player’s enjoyment.

This game is being created in a group of 4 members for a Sheridan College class project. Our challenge is to create an enjoyable game in 4 months of production that sends a social message to players.
My primary focus on game development was leading the project’s art direction. This includes experimenting with different styles and creating the different assets and characters needed for the game environment.
